She began her career in the 1990s as an on-air host and subsequently hosted several Canadian television shows, including Entertainment Now, Sonic Temple, and Chez Carla. Collins is also a freelance writer for Inside Entertainment. She starred in 50 episodes of Paradise Falls, a soap opera on Showcase Television as Rusty Sinclair. In addition, she is a voice actor and has lent her voice to several animated shows, including Cyberchase and Total Drama. Collins is also the author of Angels, Vampires and Douche Bags, her first book published by Burman Books. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she performed some “Quarantine Queen” comedy programs on Facebook and began streaming “Comedic Meditation” from Los Angeles, at no charge to the public. Her program “Carlawood” was streaming on Amazon Prime, and she also performed on SiriusXM. Collins is waiting to film a comedy special produced by David Steinberg, and she is also producing “Hump Day Howl,” a monthly streaming program from the Whitefire Theatre.

Carla Collins is a Canadian comedian, actress, television host, and writer. Carla Collins attended Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute where she was Prom Queen and Valedictorian, Collins pursued her education at the Université de Franche-Comté in France and the University of Western Ontario.

She has been a regular at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles and toured with the renowned “Hot Tamales”. In January 2015, Collins was awarded Comedian Of The Year by the Southern California Motion Picture Council, an inaugural honor created to recognize Collins’ talent.

She has starred in 50 episodes of Paradise Falls, a soap opera on Showcase Television. She appeared on the television comedy, Show Me Yours starring Adam Harrington.
